When good things go bad….

Adequately analyzing a situation can be the very thing that protects us from danger; the key to preventing avoidable mistakes and, furthermore, often assists in a better outcome than if we had otherwise not bothered.

This is why most of us are naturally geared to analyze things, and, when it counts, to analyze them thoroughly!

Over-analyzing, however, can ironically be our downfall; and can end up making situations – and our lives – far worse off.

Sometimes, the root of the challenge (what people often refer to as a “problem”) is that our minds naturally associate ‘analyzing’ with ‘preparation’. If we assume that ‘the harder you try, the better the outcome’; it is easy to also assume that “the more I think about this, the more prepared I’ll be.”

It’s just human nature in most cases to want to be prepared, in order to:

  • Make fewer wrong decisions
  • Cause less hurt to ourselves and others
  • Avoid “looking stupid” to others

“I feel an increase in confidence”

Avoid Overanalyzing:
This hypnosis track helped me to stop overanalyzing my relationship with a certain person. I kept thinking the worst and after this hypnosis, I stopped doing that & stopped obsessing so much (especially negatively.)

-Athena, London U.K.

The reality is, however, when we start to OVER-analyze, it is in fact a signal that either we should:

  • ‘let it go’ either temporarily or for good
  • explore options OPPOSITE to the situation we feel stuck in
  • accept that we actually have little or no control over the outcome.

For the classic over-analyzer, however, it’s not as simple as it sounds. Over-analyzers often assume that even the most simple thing must be loaded with other underlying factors. Often they are highly intelligent and so accustomed to solving problems, that they cannot bear to ‘prematurely’ let it go, or accept that there is no answer at the present time. They cannot rest unless every single possible option has been explored – to the point where excess time and thought is devoted, and then beyond that point where they find themselves on a spiral of confusion and frustration. Overanalyzers will also often project their own fears or assumptions onto innocent situations, losing objectivity and excessively dramatizing those situations until they become unbearable – often both for themselves and for anyone else involved. How over-analyzing hurts us instead of protecting us: People who suffer from the habit of overanalzying can, as a result, be crippled by:

  • increased damage to self esteem
  • worsened fears and phobias
  • overwhelming psychological blocks
  • increased depression, stress, anxiety and other symptoms of ill-health
  • panic attacks
  • feeling lonely or alone
  • unhealthy sleep patterns e.g. restless sleep, persistent nightmares and insomnia

Over-analyzing can then end up costing you opportunities, relationships, jobs, love, moneynot to mention your well-being, your sanity… and even your life.

Most people who over-analyze know very well that they do it, and know very well the symptoms and effects. They don’t often, however, know why they do it or how to control it.

The act of over-analyzing can be a panic-ridden nightmare that also catches many people unaware:- one minute they are balanced, peaceful, happy-go-lucky individuals — and the next, they find themselves distraught, unable to sleep or eat, and in despair as they watch themselves almost sabotage a situation – when ironically all they really want is for things to work out well.

If that sounds all too familiar, I have a solution that has helped many people suffering in exactly this way: Hypnotherapy. Our Avoid Over-Analyzing Hypnosis MP3 download has been created especially for you. … Hypnosis can help! Hypnosis works by:

  • discover how to breeze through situations with a healthy amount of confidence and care
  • be able to take a compliment as well as criticism
  • learn how to actually express some of those excess thoughts in a positive way
  • accept that, sometimes, the answer is: that there is no answer… or at very least that it could be far more simple than you suppose.

It is important to analyze things. It keeps our brains sharp and it challenges our analytical minds. Pondering the news, having a deep conversation with friends, or figuring out a complex situation is important to our well-being. On the other hand, if you are over-analyzing things such as a comment someone made to you, what shirt to wear, or any simple task, you might want to “re-think” things.

When you find yourself going over and over something in your head, I want you to ask yourself a question. Ask yourself if what you are analyzing deserves all of this time and effort. Many things are extremely important to take your time and think about, but some things just aren’t worth your time. You can be doing more constructive things than over-analyzing the small things in life.

It’s easier than you think.

You are not tempted to analyze this session. You do not judge what I am saying and you do not judge me. You are completely open to the words that you hear because you want to completely avoid overanalyzing everything around you. As you sit back and relax you notice the sense of calm that has come over body. Not only is your body at peace, but so is your mind. You look forward to the day where you can appreciate things for what they are and appreciate people for who they are without scrutinizing over every detail. You decide to start over. You decide that you will seeing the world around you in a different light. From this point on you will see things for what they are and the only thoughts coming from your head will be positive and accurate. When deciding on something, maybe is no longer an option for you. You decide on things on the spot without overanalyzing and you always feel confident about your decision. You realize that you waste a lot of your time over thinking things because you are often right the first time. As you come to this realization, you learn to trust your gut instinct and you always go with it. Imagine yourself in a situation where you are often tempted to over think things. The old you would have taken ten minutes to come up with a decision and the old you still would not have felt confident with your decision. Now you trust yourself a lot more and you are confident in your quick decisions. You find yourself with extra time during your day to appreciate the world around you. Time that you to be spent overanalyzing things, is not spent being more purchaseive in a positive way. Imagine yourself in a situation where you are so engrossed in some minuscule detail that you completely miss out on the big picture. You realize there are so many things that are happening around you that you don’t even notice. Now picture yourself in these situations and look at the big picture. Look at all the things that now come clearly into focus. You find yourself with spare time because you no longer spend your time daydreaming about a situation. You decide to get things done and you are purchaseive. You are a much more confident person and everyone around you sees the change in you. People, who used to tell you that you were overanalyzing things, now notice the change in you. You always give good advice. People enjoy coming to you and getting your opinion on things because you are such a good decision maker and what you have to say is always intelligent. Picture your new lifestyle now. You are always confident about the decisions you make. You no longer feel the need to overanalyze the world around you. You make quick, clear decisions and you feel good about them. You are proud of yourself. You feel as though you have accomplished a major task in your life. You enjoy life more. You see the positive because you are a very happy, positive person. You notice that your head is very clear. At all times you are able to think clearly and confidently. You use your ability to reason when you need to, your decisions are quick, and you are always confident with the result. Your life has changed a lot since you have made the decision to no longer overanalyze situations. Life now seems simpler and less complex. You enjoy leading a more simple life. You feel more content and relaxed. So go ahead and continue to relax, that’s right. Your body and mind feel at ease and that feels wonderful.
